African Statues | Wood Carvings
The African statue is a very significant symbol and an integral part of traditional African culture. The statues of the African people typically reflect symbols of their ancient past, as well as the daily activities that the African village people may be involved in. The African statues are attributes to the different makers in the traditional culture, not the country as a whole. A representation of kings, queens, fertility, love and tribal markings are common and revered symbols typically used. These complex African statues simply express important social, spiritual and moral values for the whole tribe to emulate. African statues are a wonderful way to bring the spirit of Africa into your home since each piece is hand carved by a talented African artisan.
